Join us for an informative Peer Connection session featuring a representative from Inclusion Services who will be explaining the PAL (Personal Attendant for Leisure) Card program and how it can help improve access to recreation, fitness, and community activities. The PAL Card allows individuals with disabilities to bring a support person to participating recreational facilities and programs at no additional cost, helping reduce barriers to participation and community involvement.
This session will cover:
• What the PAL Card program is
• Who qualifies and how to apply
• Where the card can be used
• How the program works in real-life situations
• Common questions and practical tips
There will also be an opportunity for attendees to ask questions directly and learn more about accessible recreation opportunities in the Thunder Bay region. Whether you already use the PAL program or are hearing about it for the first time, this is a great chance to learn more about a resource that can help increase independence, participation, and quality of life.
