Harley ‘Rory’ Nott<\/p>\n

Leader.<\/p>\n

Mentor.<\/p>\n

Indomitable, inspiring, intelligent, kind, charming, poetic, resilient, curious, confident, courageous, strong.<\/p>\n

All these words and many more have been used to describe our deeply beloved Harley \u201cRory\u201d Nott.<\/p>\n

Irreplaceable is another.<\/p>\n

Following his injury, he transformed himself from a 16 year old logger with a grade 9 education into a gifted lawyer with Canadian Department of Justice, and a champion for people with spinal cord injuries.<\/p>\n

A Member of the Board for 7 years, and Chair for 4, Harley inspired and led by example, focussing people on being an organization whose efforts truly make people\u2019s lives better, guided by people with lived experience.<\/p>\n

Many remember his beloved service dog Tonka, literally and metaphorically, pulling him up hills.<\/p>\n

Harley left an indelible mark on our organization and everyone he met.<\/p>\n

He provided an example that every human would do well to follow.<\/p>\n

He will be deeply missed.<\/p>\n
