Ontario Neurotrauma Foundation Closing Its Doors

We are saddened that ONF will be closing its doors after 23 years. ONF has been the hub for the Neurotrauma community, driving many of the advances that have improved the lives of the 500K Ontarians living with SCI or ABI.

Established in 1998 through the collective efforts of the Canadian Paraplegic Association (now SCIO), the Canadian Spinal Research Organization, the Ontario Brain Injury Association, and the Rick Hansen Foundation, Ontario Neurotrauma Foundation (ONF) is a non-profit organization funded by the Ontario government. Its mission is to enhance the quality of life for those living with an acquired brain injury (ABI) or spinal cord injury (SCI) and a focus on injury prevention.

SCIO is committed to preserving the legacy of ONF and ensuring that their critical work can continue.

We are pleased to have been invited to meet with the Ministry of Health next week to discuss a future state. We will continue to update our community as new information is available.
