On Tuesday 18 July 2017 – ONE NIGHT ONLY - some of the biggest names in Canadian comedy will reunite to raise funds for Spinal Cord Injury Ontario and Jake Thomas.
With a star studded line-up including; Dave Thomas, Rick Moranis, Dan Aykroyd, Catherine O’Hara, Eugene Levy, Martin Short, Joe Flaherty, The Kids in the Hall, musical guests Paul Shaffer, Ian Thomas and Murray Mclauchlan this show is going to be massive!
Hosted by Toronto’s famous comedy venue, The Second City, money raised will go to both Spinal Cord Injury Ontario and a fund set up to help Jake Thomas (nephew of Dave Thomas) on his road to recovery after sustaining a spinal cord injury in January 2017.
Dr. Stuart Howe, CEO for the charity Spinal Cord Injury Ontario said: “We are extremely excited and feel incredibly honoured to be benefiting from this event. Every day in Ontario, more than one person sustains a spinal cord injury. It is an injury that can happen in an instant and can last a lifetime. At Spinal Cord Injury Ontario, we’re here to support people when this happens to them. As a charity, we rely on donations to continue our life-changing work. This event, and the money raised by it, means the world to everyone in our community and I’d like to extend my heartfelt thanks to Dave Thomas, The Second City and everyone who has made this happen.”
